Having completed work on the many lanes extending from O’ Connell St. and Gladstone St. upkeep continues with power washing and painting a regular part of the Council’s schedule.
This year, having trialled powerwashing the two main streets, the council has added this job to its calendar. The intent is to do all the streets in the town centre. The mowing of grass along the approach roads along the bypass has been given to a private company. They are responsible for all grass cutting, hedge trimming and tree topping along that corridor. Space is still there for biodiversity with rich undergrowth along much of the route.
