In 2025 we set out to create The Green Trail, an audio-guided walking trail that connects Clonmel's residents and visitors with the town's history, culture and biodiversity through the lens of our Tidy Towns work.

The trail brings together 7 stops that each carry a story of place, people and the natural environment. At each stop, walkers hear a short audio piece weaving built heritage, folklore, biodiversity and the Tidy Towns project at that location. Alongside the audio, we commissioned a local artist to create an original artwork for each of the locations, building a visual archive of the trail.
We applied to the Tipperary Creative Ireland Programme for funding but were unsuccessful. Rather than shelve the project, the committee decided to self-fund it, with members donating time and skills to keep the production moving forward. The trail is now live on our website, and the audio has been released as the first series of our new Clonmel Tidy Towns podcast on Spotify, giving the work a second life with listeners beyond Clonmel. A soft launch has already taken place, allowing us to test the trail with members and a small invited audience. A full public launch event, supported by a feature in the local newspaper, is being planned for later in the year.
